Interested in Getting Involved?

Project RISHI, founded in 2005 by Dr. Eri S. Srivatsan and 3 UCLA medical students, is based primarily at the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of California, Berkeley. We are currently accepting any volunteers that share our passion for providing healthcare and improving the quality of life in areas outside of the United States, with a focus on our adopted village of Vadamanappakkam, 100 miles from Chennai in South India.

The goal of the project RISHI team to India is two-fold. We wish to develop the healthcare, water quality, and sanitation systems for our village and for undergraduates to be able to gain a first-hand experience with the community and with international and rural medicine. If you wish to get involved with Project RISHI as an undergraduate, please contact Co-Presidents Rashmi and Anita at projectrishi@gmail.com.
